    Default An Attila Review

    Hi guys

I recently wrote a review of the game for a magazine I co-publish.

It'd be good to get your take on it.

It's the third to last story.

    Thanks

Nice work. I read the entire article and feel it gives a good overview of the experience. Beware the incoming trolls though.

Not bad, very well written. I would have been more harsh in my review, but that`s just me.

I had a friend come round and he had a look at me playing Attilla and I could tell he was immensely impressed by it, especially the graphics and the soldier details on the battlemap. But he`s a console man, not a historical pc strategy player. Guess I`m so used to it, I don`t really see it as so amazing..

I think it's because of Rome 2 , they took away every feature of the game and when they put it back into Atilla everyone had short memories.

I see Atilla as good but yeah, not socks blown off.

    Nice effort.

Strays away from typical journalistic style, but nevertheless, well written. I don't agree with much of what you actually said regarding the game, but that's nothing more than my opinion.

I think people who aren't familiar with TW games can get a good sense from your review of what experience these games try to provide.

That said, I don't agree with your take on Attila. I think Attila is an insult to TW fans, but especially the hardcore fan (after all, these sequels like NTW and FotS are supposed to be designed for the hardcore). So yes Attila can be hard or even "hardcore," but in a stupid way, the CAI has no real logic, it just takes turns harassing you. Just my opinion.
