Default Settings change almost nothing. (low fps)

Hello all. I'll start off my saying I could run Rome 2, with a few tweaks to the settings, at around an average of 50 fps fully zoomed in during melees at high settings. High mixed with a few medium settings I could get her up to 60-65 fps during melees all the way zoomed in. With Attila, I get an average of around 15-25 fps fully zoomed during melees. Zoomed out I can reach pretty high fps, like around 50-60. But here is the things that's bothering me. No matter how many tweaks I seem to try with the settings, very little effects my fps averages. A few settings have very small impacts, but I can't seem to increase my fps more then 10 or so. Any ideas Gents?

    Specs: amd radeon hd 7970m
    Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz

Your Rome 2 zoomed in fps sounds a bit too high and the Attila numbers more normal tbh. I would try to create a very similar scene (same amount of men, environment, ..) and zoomed in camera in Rome 2 and Attila to see whether it's really just the engine that's much more demanding or whether you might have compared rather different scenes.

If u still think there is a strange difference in fps, posting screenshots with the scene in both engines, their fps numbers and the settings screen would help a lot to pinpoint the problem.

Regardless with my specs I shouldn't be getting a 18 fps average on the benchmark with almost all settings on low. There is clearly a problem here, and its not completely my hardware. Anyone have any ideas?

Does the FPS in the benchmark drop a lot around the 6-8 second mark?

Same here.. freakin' bad performance.. maybe it's just with the AMD.. theo nly way I see is to keep playing Rome 2 until Attila is more optimized...

Disable blood dlc. It will give you 7fps when zoom in.

Lower Unit details, Shadows and AA - these three are the biggest performance hogs in my experience. And yeah, you can't expect this game to run great on AMD. Everyone is having bad performance but AMD cards are hit more than their Nvidia counterparts. Just look at this chart: http://abload.de/img/tw_high_1920q3bpa.png
