    Default Better Hordes

Sincerely Hello to all TW players

So this is my very 1st mod I've ever made It's like mix of other ppl's ideas and my own ideas.
Been designed for Radious Mod in the 1st place, but have some different versions as you see

1st of all there are 2 versions in the rar file, with only 1 difference between, activating Liberation option for Huns, when they conquer a city/town
(Other Horde factions can do that with Vanilla game already!)

    So the others..
Some changes in Upkeep values, some more Encampment bonusses etc.

    Why this mod exist is;

    • Thx to corruption and Rivalry debuffs, Hordes' income can be less than upkeeps.
    • And Growth seemed very slow to me.
    • Aside these, u might want to see Hordes real badass -not OP- and challenging to fight against, as they are supposed to be.

There are some similar mods out there for sure (like Imperiales Economy, as i've been inspired also!), but it's not copy of them..

Alright, here new, updated version with some new features.

    • Attrition immunity (Snow, Swamp and Desert = all) and Replenishment ability for Raiding stance,
    • -%10 upkeep for Raiding stance of Celtic hordes (Celts have their special Raiding stance with different values, which I didn't notice before)
    • %5 bonus building income for Normal and Raiding stances,
    • More replenishment, and % 5 more bonus building income (%30 now, instead %25) for Encampment stance.

And %5 missile damage bonus as Cultural trait for all Nomad factions (well playable is one, but I'm sure there are some other Nomads)

    - - - -

    For using vanilla version with other mods;
Most of the features will stay, but not all of them will make effect. (less upkeep etc will stay)

Oh yes it is and ty

But fyi, if you are using Imperiales, some values will conflict with it (upkeep ones especially, idk about rest)

First of all great mod great idea, but i just tried this and as i am encamped i can say that:
    Encamped;

    • %20 Action point requirement instead %25,
    • -%15 upkeep , works
    • +4 Melee attack for all units ,
    • %4 more Ammunition for Ranged units,
    • 20 bonus Growth, instead 12, doesn't work
    • +%5 Reinforcement range, works
    • %30 bonus building income, instead 25, works
    • More replenishment. doesnt work

anyone else having this problem or am i doing something wrong.

Hello, thanks, and welcome to TWC 1st of all
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Welcome-to-TWC

    So, let's get to business

There might be some visual mistakes when the all of the related table isn't taken

For example did you compared how many Growth next turn you would get when you Encamped and when you are not?
    Difference should be 20 still

For replenishment, hmm, you sure that more soldiers won't be replenished for the next turn?
If that so, well I guess it will stay like that :/

Do you use any other mod btw?

    Hehe, I see

Well 1st you need Pack file manager (aka PFM)
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Attila-support

Then opening this mod with it, and adding whole "effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions_tables" table (right click, Add -> From pack -> data.pack -> db)

Then copy-paste the values of my mod to that one, then "Check Table For Errors" button at top, and deleting recurring ones,, (the ones at above others, which are vanilla ones)

However this time I do it for you
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/c0...es_vanilla.rar

    - - - -

Hmm maybe I should do PFM guide some time

Firstly i'd like to say that i "installed" the occupation mode by opening data.pack->add pack->occupation.pack->save, so i presume your way is the more manual way of doing the same thing?

of course a have a backup of vanilla data.pack, but i cant find the check table for errors button.

So this better_hordes_vanilla.pack, i add it to my current data.pack? or add it to a vanilla data.pack and replace my current one?

And yes you should do a guide at least about the basics

Default Re: Better Hordes (Updated 16.05)

Just throw it in data folder as _better_hordes_vanilla.pack?

well i'm really confused...what you said does: open the mod, puts the vanilla values from data.pack just for table "effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions_tables" and saves it as a new .pack file? correct me if i am mistaken.

ok i'll put the vanilla data.pack back.

Hey thanks, i use 1 other mod that allows every faction to all occupation and diplomacy choices, yes i checked, i took all my hordes to normal stance before using the mod too but after the turn it was the same growth and replenishment, just noticed the "%20 Action point requirement instead %25" works it just says 25%. Anyway the most that mattered to me was the faster replenishment if there's any other way tell please. btw i snatched "no more crazy rivalry" mode too seems nice

    ah, that's just weird :/

well there is another and certain way of course but that might cause some compatibility issues with other mods (not with the one you are using tho)

and you will be kind of a modder while doing that

I like this a lot the hordes really need help, but I wonder could you perhaps or do you know how to actually double the amount of armies a horde has? I really want them to threaten me

    Thanks
You can also try Less Rivalry mod too

    - - - -

Hmm, you mean doubling the max unit number per Armies? which is 20 normally
Well I didn't work on it, but I remember some mods were doing that for all armies, not sure if it's possible to separate it like Normal armies and Horde armies thou

If it is, not a bad idea for alternative version tbh
However I'm busy with my recently made Overhaul atm

    - - - -

Or if you mean scripted special stacks of Attila, yes I know where they are, and sir Junaidi also increase them with his Better AI mod

    - - - -

Also alternatively decreasing new Horde cost is possible (I include that in my overhaul)

I was thinking in terms of the amount of stacks a horde faction starts the game with too, they just get wiped out otherwise. They should be a real problem, not two battles and that's the end of the Vandals and Goths.
Do you have links your other mods you mentioned?
