    Default Flaming arrows

    I've been fooling around with the files trying to fix what I see as a massive missing component of this mods: flaming arrows. For me it's weird that an empire so advanced has forgoten the basic morale effects a bunch of flaming arrows can have on an advancing army. Plus, with the retarded way siege equipment is implemented in medieval 2 and the flameproof wood of batering rams, some extra firepower (pun intended) would make sieges somewhat more manageable (I simply hate loosing the gate with really nothing I can do to protect it bar loosing way too many units salying forth, and before you mention mortars: hahahahaha NO. those pieces of need to be farmed for xp for way to long in field battles before they can even hit close to the ram while it's moving, plus mainting mortars in every town is a preety big investment unless you are playing Reiksland and have perfect income).

    So, I've managed to get the Empire archers, free company and special archers the empire has to have flaming arrows, however despite using tutorials and experimenting, the toggle between normal fire and fire arrows doesn't show up on the interface. Can anyone help me with this?

    No one? I would realy want to know what I'm doing wrong here. I started by changing the existing weapons from dercs_projectiles that the Empire units used and giving them the fiery property. Sadly, this made the game not start, aparently the game needs the standard weapons to be in the file to load (or I missed some other faction units that use the same weapons which were now absent).     So I went back and left the name of the weapon un altered but did the rest of the alteration requiered to make them fiery, however the result of this was my empire archers simply shooting fiery arrows all the time. Scrap that and I moved on to my final ideea: I duped every longbow entry that the empire used in descr_projectiles, then altered them to be fiery, then changed export_descr_units and made the empire units use the new dupes I made. The result was the same as the last time: constant flaming arrows. So a partial succes, it can be done, there's just something I'm missing here about giving the weapon the fiery proeprty that comes with a HUD button toggle as well, not just permanent fire arrows.

    ok, ok ... bit quick after the last post and results that were born out of another mistake and lazyness. I went back and changed my EDU file, so all empire archers use their standard weapons again. So far, so good. However I was to lazy to change descr_projectiles back, so my fiery dupes were still in it, and lo and behold, I now have the toggle option for fiery arrows. YEAH!
    Unfortunatly ... well ... they are invisible ... I think they don't have the models properly set and I've looked into the models_missle folder only to find it looks identical to the vanilla one (for the arrow part at least, there are added textures there). My question is now, if someone could please help me, how can I make the arrows I use have the flaming effects and be visible?

    Avenger, the modders here for COW are russian i doubt you will find modding help here. Ask here instead say its specifically for this mod :
