Why am I not getting iron from Britain

I need iron for my level 4 slave market, seems I should be getting it from trade with Britain. Why isn't Britain exporting Iron?

Edit: Nevermind, they had the building earlier but then they switched it for another. Their goes that plan, ow well, off to Iberia to take the iron from the WRE.

You need a specific building to exploit a resource and the AI often leaves that for the last slot

Ouch. You need it for a lot of faction's military victories.

Yes. Sadly the AI doesn't like to build buildings that will allow them to exploit the natural resources that reside in their own territory. I've resigned myself to having to take it from them.

Yep, this is one of the drawbacks of requiring a building for access to a resource...provides another way for the CAI to goon up the execution of what is conceptually a pretty good idea.
