    Default Cannot use Palantir

    Hey
So I'm starting a new Gondor campaign after resolving the reinforcement issue I had and it is turn 25 now and I still cannot use the Palantir. The orb in the bottom left of the screen is not there and it is just the side map patterning. Denethor is in Minas Tirith so it should work. I wouldn't mind but it can be really useful so I would like it if I could figure out why it isn't working. Whenever I press F1 for the palantir help it comes up with the Keyboard Shortcuts Total War Setup page, and F3 does nothing.

Some help would be great, it might just be me being incredibly thick

Oh I should add that when looking at the bottom left of the screen, it looks as if the palantir logo is hidden over a duped texture that covers it, therefore it looks like that the bottom left corner of the menu is duped twice and cover it, although it should still work when I press F1 for Palantir help and F3 to use it...

    1) Is Denethor a governer of Minas Tirith?

    2) Did you delete map.rwm file as instructed, and start a new campaign after fixing the reinforcement bug?

    3) Have you tried to set the Keyboard setting to Default, and then tried F1 again ?

    4) Are you sure you are following the Palantir instructions:

Click on the Palantir settlement to select it

    The indicator should be flashing:

if not then not enough turns have passed (5 turns)
orange: your governor is not Authorised, or this is not Minas Tirith
green/red: you are good to go

If necessary, make sure that the general with the Authorisation ancillary is the governor

Press F3 (or whatever key you have mapped to "Radar: decrease zoom")

A scroll appears asking whether you wish to view locally or globally: click Accept or Decline to choose
The screen goes into cinematic mode and the viewing starts

During the viewing you may double-click on any settlement to pause the viewing

Press ESC to terminate a viewing early

The viewing ends. It will now be 5 turns before another viewing is possible.
American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
Let Syria be finally in peace.

A video of false chemical attack in Douma, Syria, which led to Western illegal attacks.

Denethor is govenor of Minas Tirith.
If I remember right to when I did it, I don't think I had a map.rwm file in that folder although I have previously.
I cannot see the palantir indicator at all so I do not know if it is green or orange or red etc.
How do I set the keyboard setting to default?
