I did not buy the Celtic DLC and as far as i know even so i can still meet the new units in the game.
Today i've started a campaign with the WRE and it seems as the Celts are still using the Nordic roster.
Wtf?!

I bet it's due to a mod...

I've witnessed the same problem and I don't use mods at all, and I actually PURCHASED the DLC.
Am I right in thinking the dlc doesnt change the rosters for celtic factions at all if you have already started a campaign?
Really spoilt the game for me....bigtime. Disgusted with CA.
I mean why not release the celts at the start for people who want them in the game for the start. Ruins the British side of things to me...plus even if there are celtic factions say turn 150 they still are Nordics.
Lame.
p.s you are telling me they finished the game intentionally without doing proper celtic factions? ran out of time or just blatant nickel and diming.

Congrats about missing the point.
Even when you have the dlc it doesnt change the factions. So all campaigns you started and say got to say turn 100 or more are ruined (in my opinion) because you wont get the right celtic factions.
Not about living under a rock at all. I can live with nickel and diming but not when it screws with my enjoyment.
p.s say for example I had started as the saxons and then conquered a lot of regions and left england till the dlc launched, i then bought the dlc to find It's still showing the unrealistic cut celtic factions that have copy%paste. wtf?
fair enough bend me over once but twice is really scraping the barrel.

DLC doesn't change factions in campaigns that have already started. That's why CA always recommends starting a new campaign after an update/DLC so you can enjoy the new experience. Of course, you can continue your old campaign if you wish but rosters will not have changed. I still have an ERE campaign going that I started on release day where the Longbeards and Celts have generic rosters.
I don't like it either. I understand what they're doing, but it doesn't mean that I like it. Rome 2 did not feel like a complete game until the Black Sea Colonies DLC was released.

So i assume we shall wait for all these stupid "DLC's" to come out before playing Attila since there is no point of playing a game with only Roman clones and Germanic people everywhere.
It's like playing a WW2 game where Britain, France, Holland and Belgium are all populated by Americans until you buy the "Great Britain DLC"...
Shame on you CA
I haven't bought a single dlc since launch (where I got Vikings for free) and I have the Celtic Units in my new test campaign. I use no mods.
Unfortunately for every person complaining about the dlc on a forum, there are probably 10-15 that suck it up and fork out, or happily buy it anyway.
I think that's what I'll be doing. I didn't bother much with DLC's much for shogun or Nappy. But I like this era a lot, so when I start a new campaign I might fork out for the DLC's at full price and not wait for a sale.
So far I've played 200 hours, so I'm getting my moneys worth.
Proculus: Divine Caesar, PLEASE! What have I done? Why am I here?
Caligula: Treason!
Proculus: Treason? I have always been loyal to you!
Caligula: [laughs insanely] That IS your treason! You're an honest man, Proculus, which means a bad Roman! Therefore, you are a traitor! Logical, hmm? Ha, ha, ha!
