Historical Characters Patch for Romans
Remember in Rome II how even in the grand campaign you would have historical characters like Scipio, Marc Anthony, Brutus, Cassius, Pompey, and Caesar appearing at certain dates (assuming Rome survived).
Wouldn't it be great if this happened in Attila as well? Especially if you are playing as a Roman faction. Having the dominant figures of the period, like Constantius III, Joannes, Valentinian III, Aetius, Petronius Maximus, Richimer, Bonfacius, Aspar, Theodosius II, Leo I, Majorian, etc appearing as possible generals (if you choose to hire them) would be awesome. You could even make them special characters you can unlock from dilemmas, like with the Longbeard and Celtic faction DLC's. You could make using them optional so you don't get swarmed with generals.
Thoughts?

Agreed. At first I thought Alaric and the Roman starting characters were the exception, but most of the historical starting families are based on actual historical figures. Gunderic, Hengist, Saphrax, etc.

The Roman names in the game also need an overhaul. The names of the characters seem a bit more republican/early imperial era than late period. I've had quite a few generals named Scipio

Re: Historical Characters Patch for Romans
There is a historical characters table in the db files with which one could assign special traits to specific characters in the game.
But it isnt used and I cant figure out how to get it to work.
