    Default Graphical Differences?

Okay so I have a nice high end PC, about 16 gigs of ram, brand new graphics card and processor, etc. When Rome II came out I could run it on maxed out settings, blood add on etc. I turned it on the other day to experience a slide show in a normal battle.

Get angry, switch back to Attila, again, maxed out settings, blood add on, fighting a huge battle, about 7k v 7k all out and about. THere is a blizzard as well as a river, forest, etc. And nothing I am getting max FPS.
Will what happened to me in Rome II eventually happen to me in Attila, and why did it happen?

Even my Nvidia add on says it cannot optimize my pc for Rome II but it can for Attila.
Is Rome II just that much more graphically intense? Because Attila looks a billion times prettier and more in depth.

Yeah it is a bummer, I wanted to try out some of the finally developed mods but I fear it may not be worth my time If I cannot fix this.

Remember: Rome 2 graphics are downgraded in first months from Rome 2 release, because people complained about bad fps so CA downgraded graphics in Rome 2. In Attila, graphics are maxed out and are not downgraded. That why FPS is different in Rome 2 and Attila.

But I have clocked in hundreds of hours of Rome II game play, It has always been on maxed out settings, Looongggg after the undowngraded the graphics. Then suddenly the game is broken to me as of recently.

It may be the mod I am using, someone mentioned some mods use too many variations in units causing extreme fps issues.

    What is your specs exactly?
    Which settings are you running?
    What mods are you using?

If you're using mods that increase unit size, variations, more civilians, longer draw distance and other changes or graphical effects and filters. Then ofcourse you're running it worse than the vanilla game or Rome 2.

Also, Attila has some new graphical features that Rome 2 didn't have. Either they are quite demanding, or since they are new maybe they haven't optimised them just yet. Attila also uses bigger textures, well not bigger but les compromised i believe so they use more space and abit more demanding. It also has proper AA, which Rome 2 didn't have. And it has anisotropic filtering that actually works, Rome 2 only had the option but it made no difference XD

I don't have my gaming PC around me this week, but i did notice a small perfomance drop in Attila everytime a new patch hit

No no, you misread my post, Atilla runs like magic. I have a ton of mods, the blood mod, larger units, GEM, etc. I get max FPS.
When I play Rome II vanilla I get a slide show. If i play it with any mod, slideshow.

my best bet, you have some Mod installed that is affecting the performance. Rome 2 runs like butter on my system while Attila is failing miserable to do it.

Well that IS weird. the only logical thing I can think of is you have Rome 2 on some kind of graphics Profile while Attila isn`t. I know you can set games to a start on a certain profile in nvidia for each game you run. maybe that`s it?

Otherwise, I would put it down to some weird Ley lines phenomenon and move home!
