    Default [REQUEST] Less/Same unit upkeep costs for AI as for Player

    I dont care if it makes it super easy, I just want it to be fair. Im tired of facing hordes of armys that only have 1 city. (And no, their armys are not filled with only nordic band.)

    If someone would make this possible you would be my hero.

    It's not QUITE what you want. However this mod on the TotalWar forums seems to do what you want, at least for the AI. By removing the 'automatic' income that factions automatically get, and forcing everyone to rely exclusively on actual trade, taxes, and the like, you certainly cut down on teh weirdness of 1-city super stacks.

    To quote the guy that created it:

    "the percantage of the income that is now gained through taxes and trade is 100%

    a small faction would get 500 taxes for example and 3000 from other income while a larger faction gets 5000 from taxes and 3000 from other
    so while the taxes increase the other income does not. this favours small empires. i dont know if i got the balance right but wether or not small empires spam, bigger empires spam much harder now."

    I have not used it, but it sounds like this COULD be the sort of thing you're looking for.

    This should work. Note that I haven't tested it and the AI is given these bonuses because CA is unable to make them build and recruit properly while also managing food, squalor, and public order, so it may have unexpected consequences on their behavior.

    You shouldn't have to. It may take a few turns for the AI to compensate for the reduced income though.

    Yeah it is. I didn't think it needed its own thread though. Sometimes I do requests if I know how.

    I can see why people wanted this. In my current campaign the Geats have 3 armies and a navy off of one city. Its pretty ridiculous.
