Default I think it will be back to rome

I have not said a word about Attila until now. I wanted time with it to really see what I thought rather than just blurting out everything right away. I can say with all certainty I absolutely despise the hoarding and razing within Attila. Razing would be cool if it were one in awhile when it was strategic however with the addition of the razing it leaves areas of the game like a burnt forest. Hoarders sneak inot an area you built up that took a good amount of time and raze it in one turn, very frustrating. Hoarding brings tons of trespassing and never ending fights where this could go one for months as a game. The campaign map stunning the overall improvement of graphics and smotthness of it all wonderful. but these two very hyped features absolute garbage.

I have to agree mostly on the razing. It does basically kill the game when it starts kicking in. It`s well over done and with each razing, you feel like you have less of a game to play.

If you do not like razing then you can use mods. As far as I know Radious and some other mods are leaving razing only to Hunic horde. Rest can loot, sack and occupy, occupy, liberate and/or subjugate.

You can purchase razed areas back with the resettle DLC for 2.99

The razing feature was poorly implemented, we new they'd screw the pooch on it, not surprised here. That's in part why Paradox is a better company -even though I don't play their games as much- they don't try to reinvent the wheel in each iteration, they stick with what works and expand on it. Look at how many new features (in Attila and Rome 2) simply have not worked or are so retarded they make the games less fun to play. This razing feature kills the essence of a total war game, yet CA did not see this when they were testing the game to make sure it was fun to play? This CA design team is sub par, that's all I glean. It's obvious when one of the most popular mods -mostly a fantasy mod-removes your headlining feature from all the factions except 1 because it kills the game.

What about they scalable truce timer? It lend upon EU IV without any explanation from Paradox or demand from community. It render some nation unplayable as you literally sitting and waiting for 10 years with zero other agenda, the claims run out during truce or slow your conquest without any benefits for your opponent - you both know what will happen once the truce is over. The SP crowd claim this change was made to appel towards multiplayer. MP crowd respond it is destroying multiplayer and Paradox after while claim it was change to give smaller nation fighting chance which is not true. Only benefits was given to Big vs Big nations wars where it trully could give loser breathing and regrouping time.

The trouble with Rome 2 is that even with mods (last time I played I was using 15 of them) the game is just so crushingly dull. Dull dull dull......There doesn't seem to be any solution to it.

Agreed. Even with the problems of Attila, it's so different and unpredictable every time I play that I can't go back to the boring linear play in Rome 2 now. I use a few mods (Radious, vanilla imperium, regional defense, double upkeep) that strikes a nice balance for my personal style of play in Attila... I play defensively and don't blitz the map, creating continual fear of being destroyed on any turn, which is what I want to feel

Go back to Rome 2 and you'll be dumb-struck at how bad the naval battles are. Seriously, Attila's naval battles play out well - ships do what you want, when you want. They ram properly, they back up to ram again or move away, etc. In Rome 2 they often slow before hitting their target, doing barely any damage, refuse orders to move or attack, can't row backwards and thus are terrible up close...it's really pretty astounding the difference between them.

I like the razing in Attila. I am just waiting for a lot more faction and unit diversity. Its still too "vanilla" right now.

well I'm not sure but I got a feeling that patching will take around a year as it was in Rome 2, then few months later they will make another new game before totally -or lets say enough- fix the Attila gameplay.. which exactly what they did with R2..

hope i come up wrong in this "forecast" but I dont think so
