Which Graphic card to get?

This is my computer:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 (2 GHz)
1 GB DDR SDRAM
NVidia GeForce 6150LE

I know my graphic card is no good for Medieval II, I'm looking to get a nVidia 7900 GS. Would this work well for the game? Go higher or lower? Any recommendations? Also, would it be better to get a graphics card with 256 MB or a 512 Mb card? Would I notice a difference?
Also, would you think I would need to get more RAM? I'm thinking about getting either a 512 stick or a 1 GB stick. Thanks for the advice.

7900 gt will be better in my opinion ,256 mb is enough so as 1 gb ram.

Hmmm, a 7900GT 256mb should be enough, but you are far better off getting the 512mb version for demanding games such as M2TW. Although you might want to spend about twice as much and get the 8800GTS, the next gen card that soundly beats todays cards.

For CPU-intense games like M2TW you really don't need a "super GPU" such as the 8800GTS or GTX (500$ or 600$ for a single GPU, a lot more if you live in Europe), of course, you don't want to buy some crappy piece of hardware that will just bottleneck the rest of your system either!

the 7900GS is a nice GPU, no doubt about it, but I think the 7900GT would be the perfect choice for you. It's a really powerful GPU, costs half of what a 8800GTS would cost you and the only (minor) con I can think of is that it isn't DX10 ready...

Well, the 7900GS 256mb is now the best bang for buck card in Britian. http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s....html?GWD-79GS £130, look at the price! Thats the same as the 7600GT, £50 less than the X850XT. I think two of these might even be as good as the £350 7950GTX!
