Well, I find it Ok.

I like the fact it isn't over the top with decapitations & gore.

It could be related to your graphic settings, I myself is running it on the lowest, but haven't had a chance yet to try it.

Going through replays is absolute glee. There are a couple of screens I have with severed heads laying on the battlefield, etc. and the onager effect for guts.

Well i wont turn down my settings just to see limbs being ut off, they will remain high/highest, doubtfull that this is the cause though

Im not really concidering having to resort to going through replays, instead i am zooming in during the actual battles and i desperately search around for some cool limbs being cut off, but to no avail :,(

well that issue was true for the blood and gore in rome 2 also,i my self have seen for the first time after months particular animations after i have applied a mod that activated only the "bloodiest" animations

Viking Raiders definitely decapitate.

The problem I noticed is that if your zoomed in and see it then zoom out then zoom in again, the head or limb disappears.

Cutting off a limb isn't that easy. I think, it is a good thing that these animations are rare. Although I have to say that I see at least 2 severed heads in every battle.

I'm happy with the frequency of animations, but I have almost MAX effects enabled and I see no blood on the ground whenever I zoom in! Gonna have to use Radious trick on B&G I think, because whats worst than seeing dead soldiers uniformly stained with blood, is seeing that there is absolutely no trace of it whatsoever under them
