Are you using Blood and Gore dlc?
A second drop of FPS? In first patch I also noticed a FPS drop![]()
Really hope they focus on an optimization patch.
It is so hard to not be bitter at Ca after watching them act like retards on rally point while the game itself has many significant issues.

15 fps on a 980??
Same here. Especially when fire arrows are being used...and the AI only uses them for all ranged units.

Got the same problem here, especially well zooming in on fire effects.
I run Attila on a inno3D GTX 770 with 25-35 FPS (zoomed out) and ~15-20 FPS (zoomed in).
All Settings are on "Quality", MLAA, 16xAF and all possible Options in the graphics menu enabled. Additionally I use GEMFX.
But I have to say, that my FPS are quite the same than before the patch. But I noticed something:
I display my FPS with MSI Afterburner. I also display the GPU- and CPU-Usage with the overlay. Most time, when camera is zoomed out, I have 25-30 FPS (depends on the battlefield, amount of units, weather, etc.) and my GPU works on 97-99%. So I have a GPU-Limit in this situations.
When I zoom in my FPS drops to ~15-20. But my GPU works only with ~70% then and the CPU-load is nearly at maximum.
So, maybe not your GPU is the reason for low FPS, it could be possible that the CPU is too slow…
PS: My CPU is an Intel Xeon e3-1230v3…
[Edit] PPS: I had the same problem in other games too, for example Anno 2070 or Battlefield 4. When the CPU hat to calculate too many things at one time (or the game is not optimized for multi-CPU-usage) it will drop your FPS because of a CPU-Limit.

I have definitely noticed a drop in performance. I expected some drop due to the new effects but I have gone from 50 FPS to 35 or so. The effects are nice though. Back to Total War!![]()
I also "feel" (never check the FPS) some performance drop but it's rather insignificant and 90% it feels just like before.
I think this happens with every TW game since M2, as the additional content becomes available, the performance decreases slightly with every additional patch/add-on you download.

Yep. I also noticed a drop of performance most noticable on the campaign map. Though it seems like battles are running more smooth for me.
It's gotta be a Chocolate Jesus to keep me satisfied.
I noticed very bad performance in the campaign map, from 60+ down to about 20 fps. The problem was that my GPU didn't run at max speed, and had throttled to 400mhz.
Restarting the game solved the issue. This happens occasionally for me now after patch 2.

I don`t check framerates, but I did notice a stutter during a siege battle which never happened pre-patch.
