Only Celt artillery in that case, sounds like very fair eh?!
If we needed cheating we could've done with mods btw
Would make more sense if this was only Allowed in Britain and Ireland, and for the rest of the world, some units only, but i dont think thats how this works, simply same for everywhere i guess.
And what about custom battles eh
ps. for single player, at least, modders can remove this ability from some units if they see fit.

this is one of those things that should never be fixed.
hilarious!

CA already did this feature on Shogun 2 with Hattori DLC. Hattori units have guerilla deployment except for the monk unit. Not quite sure about the shogun 2 siege unit due there useless anyway.
Personally i think Celtic faction should be balance like having much more higher upkeep and crappy early units than the other faction and the removal of siege engine having guerilla development.
Seriously a freaking siege engine that can freaking hide and not being notice by the ancient scouts sounds a myth to me. Unless the Celtic could assemble those siege engine quite quickly.
Yeah, guerrilla deployment should be limited by the enemy's line of sight--sneaking up right on top of them should only be practical in a dense forest or something. And while we're at it, completely remove guerrilla deployment from artillery units.
Its hilarious now, but once the funny goes away, its a major hindrance to game balance.
A humble equine consul in service to the people of Rome.
About as hilarious as flying cows.
Next on the list: flying cows DLC please. Cows do 1347 area damage on impact and have homing ability.
What about do not using guerilla deployment against another human opponent with guerilla deployment? I mean there is nice "ring of safety" around your natural starting position so it should give player advantage and time to prepare/manoeuvre. What happens is probably both players trying to catch off guard his opponent by utilising guerilla deployment and it backfire.
Imagine this scene. A roman army encountered the Celtic army in the fields and and both Roman and celtic general begins diplomatic relations (edit; I meant Gentlemans Agreement) before the battle starts.
Scene 1;
Roman General: "surrender your lands to the mighty empire and we will give mercy to your people"
Celtic General: "surrender our lands may arse!" And all the celtic army chants after the celtic general spoke.
Roman General: "It shall be so". Roman general gets back to his army with rage on his face. Then turns back to face the celtic army again and says "Where have they all gone?"
Roman Captain: "All of there army has Guerrilla deployment my Lord! Now we have to search for them."
Alternate ending:
Scene 1
Roman General: "It shall be so". Roman general gets back to his army with rage on his face. Then turns back to face the celtic army again and says "Where have they all gone?"
Roman Captain: "All of there army has Guerrilla deployment my Lord! Suddenly all of them are coming from the rear!"
If the Celtic army would be lead by entity of untold intelligence (at least in comparison to inhabitants of said world)) leading its men from distance of flying bird/drone and commanding blocks of units always having same type of shield/weapon/psychical and physical resistance, I would be inclined to believe pretty much everything at this point.![]()
I meant every word of what I typed. leave this alone!!!
