[REQUEST] Familys keep sir names

So I was just wondering if it is possible to do something to keep your family sir name going instead of just getting random ones for each child

Indeed, it'd be nice to have successive Roman emperors keep the title of 'Augustus'.

Yeah it would be nice if they were named Augustus once they where crowned but also the Flavia gens , I understand people adopted and changed there names a lot back then but it would be a nice touch I think

the problem with adoptions is they SHOULD take on the family gens.

Either ... a) add family names to all family characters or b) remove family names entirely.

Romans it is annoying as they should have three names the tria nomina praenomen(first) nomen (gentiles, name of gens) and cogomen(nickname). The Caesar Augustus parts are titles and honours that come with rank, as is the name Flavius which is name taken by all emperors after Constantine.

What would really be cool in my book is if Nordic factions had proper last names denoting their father, like Svenson or Ivarrson.

The weird thing is that Honorius' bastard children seemed to have his family name and not his natural children. Family identity and ancestry was seminal for Romans. I hope this can be done.

Yeah just had this happen for the first time bastard daughter had Flavia in her name

It's not tedious its just annoying having to quite the game to do it then wait a couple min for it to save the actual process of changing the names is super easy. Just use edit SF or Safe Parzer I think it's called. Save Parser is the easier tool to use. You can only use Premade names and can't incress the number of names a character has if I rember right so a one name character can't get a 2nd name.
