Audio Stuttering and average of 4-7 FPS!!?!?! Radeon R9 290x, 16 Gb Ram, i7-4790K

I built this computer just to play Attila. For a while, I had the "no drivers" issue but loading the 15.3 beta driver removed that. However the one persistent problem is the stupid stuttering and lagging cinematics and front page followed by during a battle the audio crackles, stutters, and is all garbled. But as far as I can tell, the game runs graphically almost perfect on max settings. Strangely, when I run the "benchmark" it is a lag fest and says I get an average of 4-7 FPS.

R2 and Skyrim seems to run beautifully and I have discovered no audio/graphical issues while playing them. As far as I can tell, the drivers for every system/device on the PC is the latest. I've verified game cache etc....

Has anyone been able to solve these issues that had similar problems? Any ideas as how to fix the audio crap? Because I can live with the graphics, but the audio issues have made the game absolutely unplayable. Just another poorly optimized CA game or could something be up with my rig?

Have you updated the audio driver ?

If u don't use audio over HDMI then disabling the "AMD High Definition Audio Device" in the device manager under "Sound, video and game controllers" might help.

Audio drivers are up to date both AMD and Realtek. I tried disabling the AMD like you said and nothing changed. Do you think it could get better if I use a HDMI cable from my GPU to my monitor?
