Default Do household and retainers die?

    Hi,
I noticed that character household disappear after some turns... I thought maybe CA thought they give them life span too, but then couldn't find an answer why my general should lose his sandals or armor does anybody know what happens to character items?

When the character dies, you lose the 3 bits of inventory they had - I guess they are buried with him. It's been like that since M2TW and can be costly, as some items are rather nice. (The holy grail in M2TW springs to mind.) There's a case for passing on any such particularly valuable items to a younger generation while the current older one is still around.

Yes they occasionally lose their ancilleries, the events table reports it.
Proculus: Divine Caesar, PLEASE! What have I done? Why am I here?
    Caligula: Treason!
Proculus: Treason? I have always been loyal to you!
Caligula: [laughs insanely] That IS your treason! You're an honest man, Proculus, which means a bad Roman! Therefore, you are a traitor! Logical, hmm? Ha, ha, ha!
