I am calling it ancillary because I'm not sure what else to call it- my question is, does the armor actually appear on the general and does it affect his survivability? I'm wondering this after the high king of the saxons who I equipped with chainmail armour does not seem to die even when his unit is around 60/75 units out of 200 (they're a cav unit and I'm using a 1.5x troops mod iirc). Thats about the area I see most generals die, and even before at half.
