Default How does recruitment work in this mod?

I notice it is much slower than in vanilla. Like the next Hearth Watchman will be available in 11 turns the next Huntsman in 12.(right after completing that building in a conquered Rhun settlement) What factors affect this? Will anything besides building the next barracks/range/stables help? Thanks.

    General rule is as follows:
Good Humans - Train faster in grassland and Forest, average in mountains and bad in desert
Evil humans - Train faster in desert and grassland, average in mountains and bad in forest.
Orcs - Good in mountains average in grassland and desert and bad in forest
Elves - Good in forest, average in grassland, bad in desert and downright ridiculous in mountains
Dwarves - Mountains, bad everywhere else

There are variations among the factions but that is a good basis to go off of. The game will not tell you if you are in that type of region though so you have to use an educated guess but do bare in mind, hill regions are often counted as mountains.

Only improving the barracks' or selecting more appropriate regions will improve the replenishment time.

Ok thanks, I was wondering if culture played a part other than the requirement for troops. But tombs are too expensive to build frequently if they won't help much.

Beside making units avilable, the culture level have impact on public order.
If the settlement have other cultures in, there will be more unrest, and vice versa a settlement with high level of your culture will have a low level of unrest due to culture.

I do build standing stones everywhere but I don't think I will have enough gold to build many tombs. There are so many other things I need. I have to built at least one level 3 port so I can get ships to ferry troops south from Esgaroth.
