Astonishing. Tory candidate colludes with EDL. Did I say "astonishing"?

Azal Amin, candidate in Dudley North for the Conservative Party, brokered a deal with EDL over the course of meetings and telephone conversations recorded by (gasp!) The Mail on Sunday.

Amin, would "persuade" EDL to call of a march, hire a couple of lads for canvasing on his behalf for the paltry sum of 250 per head, per week, in exchange for his unshakable support towards EDL after being elected.

“I’ll put it to you bluntly. I need two white working class lads to go round those areas to say to people, ‘You support the army, if you support the troops then vote for this guy’. That’s what I need.”

Unfortunately for him the EDL members filmed, recorded and then leaked the story, which hints at the fact that there is a limit to the extent EDL would go, especially if the man they're talking with is named Azal Amin, while the tories have reached no such limit especially since the people they are talking to are called EDL.

Tories made statements containing words such as "fall" and "sword", while Farage used terms as "feet" and "ground".

disgusting but electioneering is hardly unprecedented, there is all sorts of activities that go on from packing out question time to electoral fraud. This one went further and for gods sake the man got caught, that last one is really a rookie mistake. Sure other UK politicians won't make that mistake.

The Mail on Sunday is a right wing pamphlet, Afzal Amin is (was) a Tory candidate and the EDL is a right wing grassroots troupe (politely).

The mail may be using the story to push UKIP; it is a more likely scenario. However it was Afzal Amin who displayed an explosive mix of naivety, opportunism and political unscrupulousness and no one "plotted" that.
