Are there unit limits in the campaign?
I have yet to play the game, I was just wondering before I do play if I have to find a mod to remove unit limits. Also what is the time per turn? Are my generals and agents going to die of old age 4-5 times before a campaign ends? Thanks.

Re: Are there unit limits in the campaign?
I haven't encountered any unit limits yet, as Saxons or Ostrogoths. Doesn't mean there aren't some that I simply didn't run into.
4 turns per year, so the characters last quite a while.
That said, I do sense that they die of natural causes a little earlier than in 4tpy R2 (e.g., Imperator Augustus campaign). R2 characters lasted into their 70's pretty routinely, and there would be an occasional octogenarian. I haven't seen that in Attila, where living to age 65 is an achievement in itself. I suppose this is intended to reflect a deterioration in living conditions, life expectancy, etc. Even so, one can reasonably expect a character coming of age at 18 to last for, say, 150-180 turns (roughly, age 55-63). But not very many will make it 200 turns (age 68).

Perhaps you mean army limits? In this case there are still present. You can try Radious mod or DMBOSS Army Buff which are playing around this somewhat. The turns are 4 per year and again you can find mods adding 12 turns per year or adding new weather effects. About how many generations you can see. Well I am not sure. My guess is the vanila campaign is balance around 300 turns so 300/4 = 60 years. This would mean three generations give or take. I would also add that characters of old age or just unlucky can get some nasty traits so you would replace them. In my Burgundian campaign my faction leader and oldest general after they 60 start getting old so they were replace by some younger candidates.
