Trouble With Text in Building and Write-Protection

Hi, I just installed TTATW 3.2 and installed MOS 1.5, then 1.6 and 1.6.1. When I get into game, the text for barracks describing % of followers of Sauron needed or elves, etc, will say something like SMT_RELIGIOUS_RECRUITMENT, something along those lines. What did I mess up to cause that? Also my turns were taking forever, is that normal or no? And does any of this have to do with the whole "some files are write-protected" issue I'm having?

I'm using the steam version of Medieval 2 and Kingdoms btw!

Hi there and welcome to TWC Forums!

Regarding long turn times, if your M2TW is installed in either Program Files or Program Files(x86) folder, then move/install it anywhere else on your PC, just so that M2TW is not located in either one of these two files. You can make some Computer: / ../ SEGA or M2TW_game folder and move it there. This way you will lower the turn time.

Regarding ˝some files are write-protected˝ issue, go here and apply first step explained for Windows Vista, 7 and 8 Users: Edit Security for your main Medieval II TW folder.

Note that Windows 8 Users have a little different procedure.

Regarding SMT_RELIGIOUS_RECRUITMENT text, better to ask in MOS thread about it, more frequent part of forum regarding MOS issues.
