    Excubitores seem like a unit in need of a mission. How do you utilize your's?

    I guess i'd use them for prolonged combat against armoured opponents since they have axes

    I use them as bodyguards for my emperor in the later part of the campaigns. Before then I use the Scholae Palatinae
