Hey all.
Something I love about the campaign map in RTW onwards is the personality traits of the family members.
Armed with a little of imagination and introspection, I asked myself: what sort of general would I be, my own traits in the game? Would I be good placed in a city, or roaming the country, or maybe even deliberately charged to the enemy lances?
There's a list of traits to be had in the game here. Take your time in this exercise of self gauging; pick the ones that best describe you.

edit: But the campaigning sounds fun also. I'm all good intentions and charitable thoughts, but the day to day chokes me. Certainly if I remained a year in office, the next I'd like to be in the field, and vice and versa.

On my Golden Horde game . The Khan had those whom were cowardly . Faultering courage , in manly , and corrupt . Executed with out trial . There is no room for cowardisim amongst my hordes .

I'm under no illusions; I'd be hopeless as any sort of military leader. Stick me in a comfortable city far from the borders and I reckon I'd do alright managing trade and infrastructure, though. Trade would be my real strength, I reckon.

I would probably be a general with potential but too inexperienced to be given high command immediately. I would at least be a decent governor who would rule harshly but fairly and would tolerate no corruption. I also care about the people more than I would openly admit.

I'd like to think that I have the aptitude to be a good leader of men, at least on the battlefield. However as a governor I would be less successful. Crime would be dealt with well, and I would have good and noble intentions. However the daily duties would be lacking. Be on my good side and everything will be good. Otherwise expect a brutal execution. As to politics, I think I would be too naive to achieve very much, especially if I did not resort to assassinations.

I remembered this thread from years ago, so I checked on it to see what I put. Oh wow, I gave myself the Uninhibited Trait! lol.

I picked up a few points in the antitrait "Prim" so that went away.

Some of my other traits are different now, others more severe.

A lot changes in 6 years. Great thread.
