Build your own PC, its a good learning experience and as you can select the parts you will get much better value for money. For example this quick rig I knocked up this quick rig at dabs and it costs £522.01 inv VAT & Shipping Here are the parts
GeForce 7600GT 256Mb
Intel Core2 E6300
Kingmax 1Gb Ram
Asrock LGA775 945p with Crossfire support
Seagate 250Gig Hard Drive
Samsung 18X DVD-+RW DL Black
Sony Floppy Disk Drive Black
Antec Black Case no PSU
Antec Sp400 Watt PSU
Ok you have to build this yourself plus you still need an operating system, but I cant tell you how much better value that rig would be then the one you selected from Dell is. You get a Core 2 Duo processor instead of some crappy Celeron rubbish, 250 GB hard Drive as opposed to a 80 GB Hard Drive, NVIDIA 7600GT (probably the best mid range graphics card on the market) where as the Dell is onboard Intel graphics setup. Comparing these systems is like comparing a Range Rover to Ford Focus.
This will run BattleField 2142 with ease where as the Dell won't even run it!
Are these the specs, or did I misunderstand something? That's the only specs I found there:
Intel® Celeron® D 346 Processor (3.06GHz, 533MHz, 256k)
512MB Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz [2x256] Memory
80GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 8MB DataBurst cache
16x DVD +/- RW Drive
Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3000
If so, it wouldn't run. =/ Integrated graphics can't run anything.

No, that PC won't be able run BF2142 at all, and besides, for 500£ you can get a lot better than that, trust me.Originally Posted by Eviljezza
I won't advise you to build your own PC piece by piece as it's not an easy process, so unless you know someone with some experience who can teach you or do it for you, I suggest you buy your new system from a shop that specializes in gaming desktops like 3xs Systems.
I'll give you an example:
1. I went to 3xs' main site and I selected AMD systems.
2. I selected the 3XS AM2 Home PC and clicked on configure.
3. I selected the following components:
CPU: AMD AM2 Athlon 64 3800+ Windsor Core Dual Core
Memory: 1GB (2X512MB) Corsair Value Select DDR2 PC5400
System Drives: 160 Gb Samsung HD160JJ SpinPoint P80 SATA300 7200 rpm
nVidia VGA: 256MB XFX 7600GT XXX PCI-E
DVD Writer: Sony AW-G170AB2 Black 18x DVD±RW x12
4. I removed all unnecessary software (Windows XP, Burning software, etc.) and components (keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, etc.) from the list, as I assume you already have all of this from your previous PC.
5. I ended up with a pretty nice gaming rig, more than capable of running recent games like BF2142, M2TW, NWN2, etc. at the price of £472.69 (without VAT).
So, as you can see, some websites and stores offer very nice deals on gaming desktops. They even allow you to select all the components you want and they will assemble them for you!![]()
well i've tested the computer it runs stuff and its not intergrated graphics i changed that when i selected the parts.
what parts should i change to make it run dont need it really expensive and powerful.
Having a Celeron CPU on a gaming rig is always a bad choice tbh but oh well, I've seen worse I guess. Also, having only 512MB of RAM is a bit low for today's standards so you may need to double it.
By the way, what Graphics Card did you pick when you changed it?

I got the 256MB nVidia® GeForce® 7300 Turbocache graphics card and i was only a cheap computer if i cant get it two run i will have to put up with the one i got save up for anoth £500
and get the computer you got. I'll writee notes on how you got your computer.
If it can't work i would suppose it can run company of heroes which is number 2 in my list.
EDIT: can you give me the link to the website please.

Ok I will have to go with Selahedīn way. But what about company of heroes. Im trying to get a new game as im falling ofthe total war series.
The link is up there, just click where it says: "3xs systems" and it will direct you to their website.
It's a shame you decided to get a Dell PC, they are a pretty bad choice as far as gaming Desktops go but I guess next time you will know better.
Edit: You should be able to run COH alright, as long as you select Shader 1 effects instead of 2 and set the tree/vegetation details to low. It really makes an ENORMOUS difference in terms of FPS...
You're just above recommended requirements, except for your RAM of course, as most recent games recommend having at least 1GB.

Would the ram effect it much?
Greatly. But going over 1GB is unnecessary.Originally Posted by Eviljezza

The rig Selahedīn posted is pretty good too, much better than that Dell.
