Default Blood mod DLC for attilla?

Hey all, I was just wondering if CA has announced any plans for a blood/gore dlc for Attila yet. I think Attila is a great game, but the lack of blood really kills the battles for me (no pun intended). If anyone has any information on the DLC and could respond to this thread, well .

(Also I have seen many complaints about the release of faction DLC less than a week after the release... which I agree is outrageous and unfair, but if I had to guess it's CA's fault. I would lay the blame on SEGA (but I could be wrong). And thank you CA for making such great games that defined my childhood and adolescence... as well as taught me a hell of a lot of geography).

    Thanks all.

this is a dlc that is welcomed....... it looks sad, watching my Jutes fighting and so.... "clean" , honestly it brings a new life to battles, just the gore and stuff
Common sense removed due being Disruptive.

Yes, I wounder there is the B&G mod? CA should release this mod. We need the Blood and Gore, otherwise game is boring.

would be nice if we bought rome 2 dlc to have this one for free. 2.99 is a little much for a couple extra pixels of red and a few animations.

They cannot give it for free due to legal rules in some countries BUT they could sell it at a symbolic price of 99 cent, especially if we consider we paied 2 - 3 DLC in ONE month
Glad for me that I bought a phisical copy of the game at 37 euros with first dlc...but there are people here already over the 50 euros price paied...and a sign that CA is considering this would be nice.

As you said, Blood dlc it's not a big deal even if a great improvement of the battle experience.

but thats my point. I already paid for it once. why do I need to pay for it again? its virtually the same thing for a different game. they already know im over 18 because I bought it the first time. no legal issues there whatsover

    You dont understand RedGuard.

They HAVE TO, they are FORCED TO, they are LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO make us pay.
When they take your money, a tear stroll down their face, to crash in the pool of injustice the bureaucratic videogame censorship created

they could easily sell it for 99 cents. lets not pretend this isn't all about money. I was forced to buy it the first time and Attila is the same engine and practically the same game, the assets should carry over to this game too. or if there is some kind of freakish legal loophole that can only be closed if you pay one cent, then all who bought the first one should get this one at a discount. Because steam does that kind of thing regularly.

In a place near where I grew up, the politicians elected into a local council misapropriated public funds for several years. The funds they misused were "Hunters funds" payed by the Hunters union to the local district and which the district was supposed to give to local land owners and farmers as compensation for those with a hunting license being allowed to hunt on their property.
That fund was regulary checked by an oversight organisation, which the members of the council were aware of. If to much money went missing or to little it would have looked suspicious. The land owners and farmers would have also gotten suspicious if the money would have never reached them. So the council decided to make somewhat useless building projects for some useless roads which they told the land owners and farmers would profit them and would be payed with that money. They massively overexadurated the costs of those projects and stuffed the money up their own private accounts.

Everytime we debate Sega, CA, DLC policy and customers I somehow feel reminded of this and even a sence of dejavu.

interesting story. sadly that kind of thing goes on all the time in the U.S government as well, escpecially in the Military and schools. if you don't spend as much as you did last year for the same thing, then next year your money will be less. however reversed if you ask for more money next year, but you end up coming short, you'll see principals or colonels with a new laptop or a completely useless pet project being built.

So, you are aware of the possible dodginess that might be governing CA`s DLC decisions! Surprising as I always saw you as an apologist for them.

I wonder if they don't include blood and gore from the outset so that the game has a lower age rating (Teen iirc at the moment for Attila).

CA are probably going to push this out very quick now.

Because there is a thread being opend demanding this DLC every day.

I`d rather have them keep it in development to fully flesh it out and maybe add one or two things before release.

Blood and Gore isnt as essential in my opinion as playable Magyars, Roxolanis, Armenians, Parthians, Himyar and Suebians.

Blood and Gore for R2 was a mixed bag. Having to pay for it I could forgive, but the blood and gore itself is hardly noticeable for me anyways... I'd have to really up the settings, and my system isn't capable of doing this without a large FPS drop. Only time I really saw it in R2 was when the animation played after a battle and the soldier representing one army would stab the other. And even that animation looked pretty lousy.

Hence, I might forgo getting a similar DLC for Attila, if one indeed is released. For all the cinematic quality of R2 and Attila, the blood and gore just doesn't scale well for me, and I'm running at medium (I think).

Lastly, I usually play fully zoomed-out to see the battlefield, so even with a better system I doubt I'd care all that much about seeing a little bit of red here and there on the battlefield.

But who knows... for a dollar, I might grab it.
