    Default Celtic DLC announced

On today of all days, a Celtic Invasion! We’ve announced new factions for Total War: ATTILA.
Check out the trailer here: http://youtu.be/8wrdBy6VZYE
As the skies darken, Rome’s grip on the Brittanic isles weakens. The native tribes sense that their hour of emancipation is at hand; the time is right to expand their rule by axe and fire. From the mists at the very edge of the world, the Celts rise!
Playable for the first time in ATTILA, the Celtic tribes of the Ebdanians, Caledonians and Picts specialise in swift and deadly warfare. Every unit in the Celtic roster has the Guerrilla Deployment trait, enabling them to deploy almost anywhere on the battlefield – even behind enemy lines.
The Celts are a raiding, looting and sacking based culture type. Each faction benefits from its own unique traits, but all share Celtic cultural traits that vastly increase their income from these activities. An all-new Celtic roster is available for recruitment, alongside new units unique to each faction.
Also included are new objectives, skills, tier-5 buildings, ancillaries and a new narrative event-chain.
You can find more information on the official wiki: http://wiki.totalwar.com/w/Total_War_ATTILA_factions

I bet this will initiate a crapstorm. Although I can't really understand that if it happens because people pretty much begged for a Celtic DLC the whole time.

Nah, stuff was in the files for it since release, most modders already knew it was coming.

Yes, I know. What I meant is that people wanted a Celtic DLC and now that there is one coming I bet we will see waves of people complaining about it. This particular logic I can't understand.

Because everyone wanted this DLC am I right? Its not like only a few people simply thought this was going to happen based on predictions of cut content and Knew it was going to happen but did not want it to happen.

Quit parading yourself as the one sane man in a sea of illogical people, its pretentious and annoying.

So what gave you the statistic to say that only a "few people" thought this DLC was going to happen. How do you know that? I based what I have written on what I have seen on this forum and on the official TW forum. The only thing pretentious and annoying is your way of portraying me as an elitist.

Since it seems they have been preparing dlcs I hope they release them all within a month and then work on next game with all development teams.
Oh and what about Arthur now, not as likely

Very dissapointing that this isn't "FreeLC" as it is obvious cut content.

I hope to see another DLC that focuses on southern and north-eastern factions since the amount of playable factions far favour the north-western part of the campaign map.

Hopefully they will do a sale where for the first week the DLC is free, like they did with the Nomads pack in Rome 2.

Also look on the bright side at least its not Crusader Kings 2 with $194(131 Pounds 182 Euros) of DLC and without many of the DLC nearly two thirds of features in the game remain locked off.

This is what the masses oftenly misunderstood paradox's business strategies. Most of their DLC's are cosmetics and soundtracks, which is fair because some people wouldn't prefer a certain DLC so they will be given an option to buy or not to buy the DLC. Also, since when did paradox cuts out factions in their games?

You have done it again Jack, bravo.

cosmetic and music that should included with the bigger DLCs, not cut out for petty profit.

As I've said in the past

And if you want to talk EUIV, the base game is 40 bucks, plus $117.23 worth of DLC (CKII is $39.99 plus $194.49 worth of DLC). The aforementioned save convertor still hasn't been updated for all the new map provinces and cultures in CKII and EUIV. Yet Paradox still has the gall to sell it for ten bucks. Not to mention, the American Dream DLC for EUIV is literally just stuff ripped from EU2 and given a $4.99 price tag. Res Publica was ripped out of Wealth of Nations, and they're charging $4.99 for that. Paradox is absolutely terrible when it comes to DLC policy, far worse than CA/SEGA.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Paradox's Grand Strategy games (and unabashedly own all of that DLC I mentioned) and Total War, but to hold Paradox up as some flawless company, especially when they've done some slimy things as I mentioned, is ridiculous.
The only thing that might of changed is iirc they're working on updating the save convertor.

To answer on your first sentence. Well I haven't own and played CKII so I wouldn't discuss anymore on that argument. As I based everything on EUIV.

When you said Paradox treats their fans terribly and telling one of their fans to screw off, isn't that a bit exaggerated? I actually watched that video recently when one fan asked that question. It actually ended that johan (yes you were right) didn't manage to frankly answer the question and ended up the question being passed by one of the devs of EUIV to answer it(dont remember what he said).

I'm a paradox fan of the first hour, and I have to say I agree, what they done with DLC was degenerated. Their game risk to become without shape becouse with many little DLC instead of a big one, after six months or an year, everything is rushed, bugged and conflict with the previous version of the game, also can play in a stable way, becouse after a months everything changed another time, but the problem is that what they change are not things for historical plausibility and fun, no more, but only half-historical mechanics more useful for a casual gameplay, multiplayer and not useful at all in certain context.

I agree with Seifen. This is cut content and artifacts taken from Rome II. A plain rip-off.

Some people are not understanding the problem with this DLC system.

Yes we want more playable factions, but not sold off separately from the core game. These factions have been in from the start, just the units weren't finished at release day. So instead of giving the content for what we actually paid for, they are selling it one by one.

I certainly did not pay for a game full of place holder units.
