Army Devestation
So, one common issue faced in ATW is that we can defeat stack after stack (and lose stack after stack) of armies without any negative to us or the AI besides recruitment time and initial cost. All of this being alleviated by the fact that we now have an extra 2-4k of income for producing units (more with certain late game armies).
My idea is to introduce a 'devastation' like mechanic that would impact integrity of remaining armies by some arbitrary # and also impact public order. The concept behind this being that the loss of an army would obviously impact the morale of other standing forces (especially if a great commander dies) and likewise for the common populace. I wouldn't mind seeing it work similar to the existing devastation mechanic after building damage (where it has an initial hit and then a falling negative amount).
I think this feature would certainly add some historical accuracy (loss of legions/hordes/armies would of certainly been a hit to public morale) and might even incentivize the CAI to be more reasonable after losing 5 stacks of units/generals.
Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? Is this doable now or will we have to wait? Normally I mod the game to my own liking (excepting major overhauls) but this one is a little outside what I know how to do.
