Game crashes on startup (before splash screen)
Hi, guys. So last night my AVG Antivirus notified me of what is thought was malware, but turned out to be important system files. It deleted them, but I went into the "vault" and restored them, and they should now be back where they were. Before I restored them, my audio was not working, and my games were not launching. Now that I restored them, my audio works, but Attila and Rome 2 will not launch.
The weird part is that Napoleon and Shogun 2 will, so this is only affecting Attila and Rome 2. The files deleted were: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\DRIVERS\X64\3\OLD\1\PRINTCONFIG.DLL and the Regsvr32.exe. I do not know which one works and which one doesnt, but I'm guessing the computer is looking for one of them but cannot find it, and therefore it crashes. Only strange that this seems to only affect Attila and Rome 2.
I've tried to do a system restore many many times, but it does not seem to manage to go through with the restoration. Any help would be appreciated. Everything else seems to work, and my video and audio drivers are up to date.

Re: Game crashes on startup (before splash screen)
Isnt AVG the very worst kind of antivirus out there?
I dont use antivirus myself, just Ccleaner & Adwcleaner
As for the problem im sorry i have no idea what the problem is, i would probably just reinstall windows completley by clearing the whole partition

AVG Anti-virus does not like Steam (or the other way around).

Before ETW I was using ABG but since I have some many problem since them I changed to Avira (Free). No issue up until today.
