Would love to try this mod out - IF I could make it work

So I've spent quite a large time on the total war series in general, but never really took a look at the mods. Boy have i been missing out! BUT, I've come across an issue trying to get this working. I know the community here must get a lot of the same issues over and over again but any help would be appreciated.
Downloading 6.3 and getting it working is a breeze, but it's 6.4 that's the issue. After installing, when the configuration appears (Gracul/Lusted/Savage AI, Permanent arrows/watchtowers etc), once I've configured it, a popup comes up saying "error while trying to create a temporary file. Operation aborted" and it sits on the thing asking once again if i want a early/late campaign... I guess maybe if I just run it it MIGHT play the default configuration, but I'd rather play a version of SS that's not getting problems so early on, I'd be risking crashes as turns went on and I got invested.
I look around and couldn't find anyone else saying they had this issue, so I thought I'd ask. I'm running windows 7, non steam version. In the midst of installing medieval somewhere else and doing the installation process again and seeing if it changes anything. If it does I'll post again, just so anyone else who follows my footsteps is saved the hassle!

Probably you have UAC issues. Check this thread how someone solved that. Check all in the stickies, second post.
