Default More settlement maps are desperately needed, as is improved pathfinding (WRE campaign)

You have to be ready for a lot of battles as the WRE. That's a given. But that also means they have to be enjoyable and different, otherwise you start to feel like you're just playing the same battle over and over....which is exactly what's happening now. There are only 3 minor settlement map types that I've seen, and in the dozens and dozens of battles I've had to fight between turns I feel like I'm just replaying the same battles over and over. Almost identical garrisons vs almost identical armies using almost identical tactics. When you're regularly defending 3+ battles the lack of map diversity really makes things a drag. I can't say I see CA doing that, though, which is a shame.

What they most definitely need to sort out, however, is the path-finding. I've genuinely lost count of the amount of battles I've fought in which a reinforcing AI army hasn't made it to my town because they're either standing still, spread out over the map, or are stop/starting to the extent that it takes them most of the battle to even reach the walls/outer limits of my settlement. I just wiped out a horde by easily crushing the initial army and then riding out to kill the rest who reacted to me being there unit by unit, allowing me to pick them off piecemeal. Not the first time I've dealt with this, so hopefully CA sort this out.

I agree, but I think modders will help with that immensely as well. But two or three more different maps wouldn't hurt.
August Strindberg: "There's a view, current at the moment even among quite sensible people, that women, that secondary form of humanity (second to men, the lords and shapers of human civilisation) should in some way become equal with men, or could so be; this is leading to a struggle which is both bizarre and doomed. It's bizarre because a secondary form, by the laws of science, is always going to be a secondary form. Imagine two people, A (a man) and B (a woman). They start to run a race from the same point, C. A (the man) has a speed of, let's say, 100; B (the woman) has a speed of 60. Now, the question is 'Can B ever overtake A?" and the answer is 'Never!'. Whatever training, encouragement or self-denial is applied, the proposition is as impossible as that two parallel lines should ever meet."

I was thinking more like 5+ maps given how many settlements there are. They're called Creative Assembly after all....lets see some more creativity...seriously.

With the upcoming release of a map editor and the devs announcement that those maps can be integrated into the campaign, I think, it won't take long until every single settlement will be unique.
