More shield variety?

I noticed that there isn't really a lot going on with shield variety in Attila TW.

For the Romans, the only units with different shields are Legio and Legio Comitatenses, the other units always share the same shield.
Same goes for the barbarians.
Is that historically accurate?

I mean, there is tons of shields in the game, so it shouldn't be a problem to add some variety...

There are lots of shields in the Notitia Dignitatum a modder could use.
