Default [REQUEST] giving regions turns barbarians into foederti

I find it very annoying that when you give a region to Barbarians, they keep disliking you, often even refusing a non-aggression pact! In fact, barbarians who were given land from the empire and settled down accepted to fight as foederati of the empire as part of the deal. This system should be represented ingame!

Now, I don't know if there is a way of introducing a script which automatically makes barbarians become puppets once you give them a province; however, an easy way around it would be to increase the diplomatic value of region-giving by A LOT, so that they would accept becoming puppets as part of the offer. Is this possible? I mean, puppets are pretty unfaithful anyway, so it would not be unbalanced, while it would be historical and it would make the campaign less of a hell for the western Romans, while favoring the creation of actual barbarian kingdoms, instead of empty holes everywhere on the map...

Here him, here him. Diplomacy for and towards the Romans needs an overhaul

Can you even give regions in the game through diplomacy? I haven't found a way.

If there is a horde present in a region you can gift them said region.

Yeah, but that's useless. Horde can go anywhere, and most of the time just move randomly. The point of feoderati is to settle barbarians to your borders, so that they can act a buffer states, and protect your core lands. Not to fragment your empire by giving any region to any faction fortunately moving across it.

hence the need for a actual * give region for all regions or possibly, a "attack here option " for alliancing barbarian hordes. is what I do - ie ally then tell them to attack here they cap it- I send a small army to buff

I totally support the idea, been thinking of that since I first tried the game.... Let's hope that the diplomacy is not so scripted that modification becomes impossible. Anyway, the opinion of some modder would be very welcome.
