Give/Demand Region Mod Request

Posted this in General Discussion, but this is probably a better place. Given that the "Gift Region" mechanic is in the game, I was wondering if any modders have made headway on making "Give/Demand Region" or even just "Give Region" possible in the Diplomacy Panel?

As it stands, the "Gift Region" mechanic is stupid anyway -- why would I settle a horde in the middle of my empire just because they happen to be there when I could put them on the borders?

Why? What about because they may be a powerful horde making their way to your territory, and to stop them invading you, you give them a border region, and turn them back away from your lands onto your enemies. Worked for me

I think what CA has done is a good compromise. As a horde, can you demand a region? I havent checked. That would be an important one

No, you cannot. And, historically, the Romans did not give the Hordes the lands they happened the be on. It was part of the foederati system.

In addition, I would like to be able to shore up vassal states by providing them with multiple provinces after I've subjugated them, or return land to the Western Romans if I don't have the men/money to oversee possibly rebellious provinces I've taken back for them.

Another thing -- why does it have to be the region they're in and not one bordering it? Alans are constantly milling around Marcianopolis, when I'd rather give them Romula (which isn't in my CAPITAL PROVINCE) to the north.
