Screen turns black.

Hi.

I have a little problem, each time i try to start a game the screen turns black after the loading is done.
I can hear sound, and i can still do everything but i cant see *****.

My moniter ACER AL196 19" LCD has something built into it so when it cant get a signal from the grafic card it says somthing like: cant find input.

All my other games work just fine, some of them are: F.e.a.r, CS:S, Half-Life 2, Battlefield 2 and so on.

My system specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon 64: 3400
2048Mb ram (2x1024 Samsung)
Radeon 9600Pro 256mb
Maxtor 200Gb Harddrive
K8V-X Motherboard
Windows Xp Pro SP2 , 5.1 Build 2600

Direct X 9.0c installed (from game disk)
have reinstalled game 2 times
latest grafics drivers

tryed to change details from high to lowest and some random, nothing works.

So i wonder if anyone can help me with this?

Turn all other programs off. Try turning off firewall and try again. What driver version are you using?

I had that very same problem. You need to update your RADEON to the latest ATI graphic drivers @ http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

If this doesnt help, I dont know what will.
