    Default fertility

One of the features i apreciate the most in attila is the new fertility mechanic. Right now in rome 2 it does not make any difference if you build a farm in the sahara or along the nile river. I'm wondering if there is a way to represent fertility in DEI, maybe through the permanent region effects (the one used to represent wonders and other special effects? What are your guy's thoughts about this?

I think you could make season effects for regions with like +-80% to wealth from agriculture.

I don't have Attila, so Im just wondering how is fertility different from population growth in R2?

Fertility in Attila determines the amount of food and wealth that your farms generate.

But isnt this already in DeI? Wet summer, early spring etc gives a bonus or reduces income from farms and PO.

I was talking about food production itself, not income. Don't you find it stupid that you can get the same amount of food out of Sahara or, lets say, Sicily? Now i don't expect that we can get the same dinamyc system of Attila, but maybe a set bonus to really make the difference between fertile and barren regions be felt.

What does exist in DeI currently are special main city buildings in certain regions that provide food based on the resource (wheat, olives, etc), as well as increased income from agriculture. Sure, it's not a huge difference, but I usually specialize those provinces for agriculture and get plenty of food from them.
