The Huns. Love how I don't have to manage an empire. I just roam around fighting, sacking and razing with no real purpose but to get rich and cause destruction on a virtual map. It's wonderful.![]()
Jutes. Great start position and I love the huscarls. You get access to them really early and they trash everything. In single player I've always fealt a faction with good infantry is superior to a faction with good cavalry. Because the utility of heavy infantry is just superior.
Also the money for kill boost are nice.

I'm enjoying the Langobards - good 'heroic' style infantry and a great position to expand anywhere makes this campaign very exciting
In general, I'm finding the early campaign to be much harder in Attila than in previous games.
I died fairly quick in my Danes campaign by trying to expand too quick to the south and once I took 2 settlements, I was ganged up on by every faction close by.
I tried a Saxon campaign where I immediately brought my troops back to the mainland and tried to expand around my capital. I feel a bit out matched. I think I might try another campaign with the Saxons and focus on Britannica instead.
I tried the Huns, but didn't really like never owning a settlement. I enjoyed the Vandals for the ability to migrate, but also establish an empire.
i finnally settled as the goth and my brother betrays me and civil wars us being divided lead to the huns and romans tearing us up leading to my death because my son died at birth like you can plan but don't know what the hell is gonna happen next turn i love it
I like the geats. There are different options in proceeding west, south, or east and the north is busy with action. I do hope CA fixes the celts soon. And puts some migrating berbers or other contentious factions in africa/middle easy.
Goths are great u have roman and goth units -very interesting combination
But all in all ERE units i think are still the best and i love playing campaign with them.
War is Hell, and I'm the Devil!
I've played ERE, Franks, Saxons, Ostrogoths and Visigoths. Enjoyed all of them so far. I love some good infantry for sure, but cavalry is fantastic in TW: Attila.
I like the Eastern Roman Empire as it offers a campaign that's initially chaotic but if you can weather the storm then you can build a pretty stable empire while the rest of the world is being razed all around you. I really love their units because you can continue playing late game and not feel "out of date" with Numeroi, Tagmata, Excubitores, etc.

Jutes, and that's because it's the only faction I'm playing. I have this disease where I am tuned only to play a single faction (in all TW games) until the victory video come before starting on a new campaign with a different faction.
The Franks, I don't know why they strike me as the most germanic!!!, and love the heerban units sword and franscisca, also franscisca is subconsciously tingling my Age of Kings memories

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
I'm partial to the ERE. I'm not normally one for starting with large established empires, but something about standing firm as a paragon of civilization while the world burns around you, combined with a great all around roster has me hooked.
Plus that interest bonus of theirs is completely game breaking if you ride it out long enough, so there's always sweet vengeance to look forward to--those Sassanians think that because CA forgot the white Huns, they can just steamroll across my border without a care in the world? Give me twenty turns and I'll have enough money to buy every mercenary and levy every peasant this side of the Dardanelles, then we'll see who's laughing.

I liked the Vandals in my campaign. Taking over Spain as the Visigoths was awesome, too
Now I am really enjoying the WRE. I am looking forward to reconquering the Empire.
My ERE campaign was fun, until the sassanids declared war on me for the second time....
I have been trying them all out one by one. Playing until the Attila is born video. I really haven't decided on who to stick with for the long run. I love em all so far. Which makes it very difficult.
