It's far from being complete, but I'm working on it actively. Please test and post your issues here!

The initial version focuses on units, their upgrades and requirements. Info on buildings and techs together with other tweaks coming next.

Mate it looks good but I am not going to download it with those permissions. Why would you want to know my exact location? If you want to get more downloads then please remove those crazy permissions.

Location is required for banner, actaually, it has no other uses. Ad networks need this info for targeting.

Network permissions (including check whether the device is on WiFi) and external storage permission are required to redownload data if it's corrupted. The app uses separate data file since there's a lot of icons (70MB) and Google doesn't allow it to be stored as a single file. Wake lock is used for this too - to allow downloading while the device is asleep. All these are from Google tutorials. One of network permissions is also used for the banner.

Generally that's it. I don't see how I could remove any of those.

I was going to get this, especially since I play disconnected from the net, so the encyclopedia won`t show up (thanks, Steam and CA). But i`m not getting an App with pop up adverts. Not happening, I`d rather just learn the game the hard way. A pity, since it`s a nice idea.

If you play disconnected, it will work normally, you'll just have blank banner. Unless you somehow lost the game data, of course, i.e. by removing the card. Also, it doesn't pop up adverts, it's just a single small banner space on the bottom.

doesn't work for me on lollipop, just freezes on a blank screen when starting up, tried this on 2 different devices running 5.0.2 and 5.0

Thanks! Yes, it looks like the app is working fine on devices with Android 4.0-4.3, but fails on Android 4.4+. Investigating further...

Which OS version you have? I'm investigated the issue and it looks like it appears on Android 4.4+
Really hope to make a hotfix today.

Hotfix for blank screen is out. Please test it.
