Default Mavia, Female Arab Warrior Queen, perfect DLC?

Reading about the 400 AD era which Total War games are great for generating interest in, I stumbled upon the story of Mavia, who sounds like a lady Alexander the Great. Personally leading on horseback her own elite heavy shock cav, being regarded by her people as a personally skilled warrior and great leader, she led and fought a huge rebellion against the Eastern Roman Empire in the Middle East during the timeframe of Attila's campaign.

I want this as a DLC, SO bad! Its a perfect story, Arab factions, an interesting and unique opportunity for a female general for the first time in a Total War game, a chance to beat up the ERE's stupid Tagmata cavalry with a bunch of girls, perfect!

    What do you guys think?

Start out in Arabia and migrate out doing diplomacy with Arab factions many who are vassalized by ERE and begin confederating with them as you keep killing ERE armies off all over the map and secure their loyalty. In real life it seems like it started small and ERE kept getting frustrated sending armies of progressive size into the Middle East to pacify rebellions but she just kept winning until the ERE had to treat her with respect and an equal and respect th come? Its real history.eir independence.

Like imagine if the ERE were like the huns, getting progressively more threatening with bigger stacks, and you had to keep winn

Real history, yes. Significant? Important? Donīt know, really.
They put up a rebellion, they stood their ground, they got their Bishop they demanded, fine.
Few years later, they were seriously pounded when fighting as ERE auxiliaries against the Goths, and after that their second rebellion was soundly beaten down by the ERE.
So, nothing special, nothing epic history changing unique... there were rebellions over and over again everywhere all the time in Roman history.

The only thing I can think of making this episode unique and interesting is probably the fact that the leader was female, right?

The only significant female of Attila's timeframe too.

Not worth a whole DLC but as a part of a arab overhaul DLC? Yes.

    This. rep.

I don`t see as at all impossible that a woman of nobility might indeed invigorate men to fight and rebel. Men when they are down and depressed because they`ve lost so often sometimes turn to someone different in leadership. Sometimes the `mother` figure can be the new invigoration they need.

The problem is that the kids then suddenly turn this in to `Xena Amazon warrior` and that`s not the case at all. I would bet she was no warrior and if she had somehow some knowledge of the sword, never actually fought in battle with one. Again like Boudicca, she was a figure head. And leading bands of warrior women? Hahahahha! Nonsense. Most women of the time would`ve called her a barbarian or crazy.

That said, I still have to wonder how this has not come to light until now. Arabians with a female leader?

Interesting, though I would be against her leading whole armies of women into battle...

CA didn't make a Boudicca dlc, so i doubt this will happen. I wouldn't mind it though, aslong as i get my Slavic culture pack i don't care about the rest of the dlc's lol

The most important would be Britannic/Celtic dlc IMO (together with blood)- afterwards they can do whatever they want

If anything they should make something to add to the East. I mean isn't the West being consumed by barbarian hordes in a sea of darkness? The East should be a beacon of some kind to guide those in the West towards the growing light.

In Rome 2 the East seemed pretty lacking compared to the Western/Steppe cultures. That's just my opinion though. IF anything modders will eventually (well, hopefully) improve the factions and units if CA does nothing to satisfy it's fan base.

A Mavia campaign would take place in the Middle East. She migrated her people from Arabia and formed a confederation of many Arab tribes and fought battles around Syria and Egypt, fostering rebellion in major wealthy ERE provinces and defeating ERE armies in pitched battle and guerilla cavalry tactics. I imagine a map of the Middle East like we had Gaul for Caesar's DLC.
