Default Few questions on the Huns...

    Hey all.

Been enjoying playing as the Huns. Very fun to just be nomads and pillage everything. Just have a few questions....

    1) Can the Huns have a civil war? I noticed my control dropped down to 30%. Not sure what the effects as I didn't play Rome 2 since they redid the political stuff. I am assuming there isn't as there doesn't seem to be any other 'families' in the Huns.

    2) Is there 'regency'. Attila was just born and made heir. The old Kan is like 64. He won't last until Attila is grown. Wondering how that works if anyone knows.

    Thanks!

    1. Can`t see why the Huns couldn`t have a civil war. No reason why not. My money is on it can happen.

    2. Can`t you adopt someone to rule until Atilla is old enough? That`s what I would do.

Thanks for the reply. What causes a civil war? I see 2 things on my political screen. Dominion and Control? Dominion is 100% and Control is 30%. Do both have to drop to have a civil war?

Not sure. I had a General with a Loyalty of 50 and it said if that goes to 0, he may trigger a civil war. So maybe you need to check your General`s Loyalty first?

When your king dies, you get a message that Attila isn't old enough to rule and a regent has been placed to rule, until he come of age. <- something like that.

Happened in my Huns campaign, as Attila was only 11 when the king died.
    Wanted for:
Breaking and gluing back together and trying to pass off as never being broken in the first place.
Assault with a weapon that couldn't have possibly been deadly, but unfortunately was

"You know what they say: give a man a fish, and he'll stink up the whole town. Give a man a fishing rod -- see where I'm going here? Give him a fishing rod and he'll poke your eye out."

Rep goes both ways, just leave your name

    Gotcha. Thanks man!

Still trying to figure out the control thing and what it means. Appears to have no effect so far. Generals all loyal.

I would just like to note that my original king survived just fine up until spring 420. I got that cut scene, my old king "died of natural causes" and attila had come to full age. (I question the coincidence of attila becoming a general i can use, and my old king dieing... <.< ). Granted, said king was in his 80's, missing a limb, blind, weak, disfiguring scars... so he only had 1 in each cunning, authority, and zeal. But hey, he was still kicking... Also, he had attila as a son after wife had died, no-one would re-marry him, and he had rolled infertile... yet somehow attila is born as a legitimate child <.< and declared heir.

Control (along with Dominion) is only half the measure that calculates your Power, which is what can lower or raise Loyalty. By itself it doesn't do anything to loyalty.

The Huns can't get traditional rebels (-100 public order in a settlement) since they can't settle, but if a general's loyalty reaches 0 its army will turn against you, along with all the buildings and income. So, well, don't let that happen.

And yeah, Attila is hard-coded to be born and be leader of the Huns. Maybe it changes if you assassinate him as a Hun player? I don't know.
