yes I would like to know how to do this as well. On occassions I've captured Latin Christian towns in the WRE and my overall percentage of Latin Christianity has gone down lol.

Also Fedual, if you take ERE lands it won't count since they are Greek Christian not Latin Christian.

Haven't try this, but if you push "5" and click on Summary tab, on the left side that listed all the religions, and with convert buttons. That might be how you can convert your whole faction to the religion.
Riddle me this, riddle me that:
    Who was my first commander?
How many of me are active right now?
And who drank a Delacourt '27 when received the commandership of me?

The thing i am having problem with like i said in the OP is that I need help with how to get latin christianity above 30%. We can only convert when a religion is being followed by 35% or more of a population and i cant seem to be getting there no matter how hard i try.

You can trespass and take a region in Narbonensis or Liguria, preferably Mediolanum since it has a religious building. You could sail down to Baetica take a city and convert right away if you do it quickly because it's on a slow decline. Longer term but closer would be to take Augusta Treverorum. Preferably drop your home region if you do any of these.

Ok so the key is to start migrating at turn 1?

Depends on where you want to end up. I tried the baetica approach, did some diplomacy and sent everything down there. I got down there and realized all I really needed to send was the navy after recruiting a few units or you can get a few mercs when you get there. I took the WRE port in Baetica and I abandoned Flevum which allowed me to convert right away, about turn 10.

This worked excellent for me thank you, after abandoning Flevum i went ahead and took Milano instead of Baetica. I then abandoned it instantly after i had converted to latin chrstianity. After that I went back north to Trier and took it over so it is now my capital. I felt Trier with all its rich history would make a nice capital instead of Flevum

This might be a dumb question but how do you change your capital? Pretty cool! I want to try this strategy as the Franks too.

    Hey guys,

if you want to go the historical route, you should be fighting together with the WRE in alliance and join their wars for money in Gallia and southern Germania, effectively helping the WRE to keep some provinces under control. Fight Lugians and Suebians, for example. Subdueing Alamans early can be beneficial too. Then you can look to focus on defending key settlements that already have churches in them. After some years you will see that the WRE will build up the churches, given enough time. Make sure to crush all uprisings and take on Gallic and Western Roman rebels immediately - as they will build pagan buildings and raze churches.

The WRE will love you for it, you can keep the settlements where you put down rebels, and a patchwork of a WRE / Frankish dominion will develop. Given good enough relations, you can even demand gold as gifts from WRE and ERE after a while through diplomacy!

At that point, Gallia is hopefully stabilized under a patchwork of Roman / Frankish control and the Franks will not have so many enemies left to fight against for the Romans. At that point, you can make plans to betray the Roman administration, in order to migrate or conquer to settlements that have a high Christian population and also, if possible, churches. Take such settlement, and you will be at >50% Latin Christianity right after conquest. Then convert asap.

Seeking an alliance with the Imperium Romanum and then taking such a course of action can be quite interesting and entertaining in a play-through.

    Have fun!

That's exactly what I'm trying to do on my Franks campaign so far. The main problem is, that the WRE won't give me military access even though our relations are cleary in the Green and I offer them all the money I have left. I won't even talk about an actual alliance here, they just reject everything- probably because Honorius is a racist in the game... It kinda undermines the whole strategy if you get diplomatic penalties when you try to reinforce besieged Roman settlements.
"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."

Pliny the Elder, Naturalis Historia, 7, 112
