Detailed Longbeards Culture Pack DLC video

Hi,

I am a long time lurker here thou i dont realy know the etiquette so please do correct me if i am posting this in the wrong place or if you simply dont like you tube links

Now that the Culture Pack is out i have gone through it and made a video showing all of there unites there stats and in battle visuals and ofc the facions themselfs with traits and starting locations. Sadly whille there are some new weapon moddels there are no new animations so we have unites stabing with blunt weapons again and some weapons clipping through the ground

Any ways i hope this might be of some help to any one considering purchasing it, 8$ is pretty stiff in my opinion but thats also why i made such a detailed video so you can see exactly what your cash will gett you so you can make up your own mind


Checking absolutely everything was quite a long task so i split the video into 3 parts for easier browsing, the first of witch is up on you tube now with the nexst 2 to follow shortly (ill update here).


In this first part i look at the 3 new factions in general, there bonuses and there starting positions tech tree and there cinematic intro (sadly just the barbarian old one)

Lol agreed, playing as the Alamans right now, just finished my Ybor quest-line... my rank 0 ybor general gives 15 attack, 30% damage bonus to the entire commanded army, and has max zeal. This combined with the alamans bonus versus romans means my basic spear mobs (forget their full name this moment, the starting spear unit alamans get as a unique unit) tear apart any roman unit they meet. My gemmed nobles absolutely cut swaths of devastation through the WRE. (last big battle, I had one get 900 kills in melee and lost 18 guys... I wasn't even flanking.)

Also if this was pre-multiplayer total war i would have been kinda ok with the obviously OP unites but now that we have a competitive multiplayer community CA really should think before releasing shotgun slingers or "skirmish" cavalry with more javelins then the foot unites and enough melee power to laugh at anything short of massed spear unites >.< and the bling bling noels.... not only are they pure threshing machines! but every single one of them essentially counts as a another general for the purpose of moral.

If I may kindly call your attention to the most powerful units in Rome 2 pwease..........Which is the strongest melee cav; the Iberian Noble Horse. The strongest shock cav? Saka cata. Strongest archer? Cimmerian Noble. Strongest mid-tier sword? Sword Follower/Tylis' mid tier thingy. Strongest haplite for all purpose? Thorax Hoplite/Illyrian Nobles/Royal Spartans/(maybe) Shield Bearers. Strongest javelinmen? Picked Peltasts. Most cost effective archer? Cimbri-bow-women. Now if you analyze which factions have access to these unis; you can buy them................WAIT; WHAT? Yah man; buy the best units. I rest my case. Seems Attila is doing the same.
