    Default Game Guide?

While browsing some of the older posts and Neph's Deviantart page, I noticed that he at one point was planning on making a guide for Hyrule: Total War. This project is apparently dead or at very least low priority for now, which is understandable given he's still trying to complete, you know, the game first. As UN seems to have opened up somewhat to the concept of utilizing the community, I was wondering if there was any way that I or anyone else could help? In my spare time (lots of which, as I not have what you mortals call a life ) I've already compiled a semi-complete strategy guide of the various regions, unit stats, and flavor text in the mod-cause OCD- but lack any visual design skills so its just bare bones text. On top of that, it's really all just stuff that you can find on the wiki with enough searching, perhaps a little more "concise." But i digress- if anyone wishes to do anything with this, turn it into a polished professional looking guide with nice visuals and whatnot, or just has interest in the concept of Hyrule: Total War's long-lost guide project, please chime in.

I think UN has scrapped the guide thing in favour of the wiki.

I remember watching Lortano's faction guides some time ago, but I believe he's since removed them due to changing his youtube account and the fact that they were quite outdated (pre-version 3.5 I think)

I would rather have a detailed list of events for each faction at what turn.

I worked hard getting this info collected, though somebody else did most of the info-mining.

I've spent a lot of time info-mining about the regions-should probably add that to the wiki myself-it would be useful for players to know what resources and fertility each region has, and perhaps any lore hidden in the files.

That's quite doable, would just require some searching in the game files. I've cataloged some, but haven't really gotten around to events yet. Would be helpful to figure out when heroes spawn and such.

    @Drazule
Nice work! You should consider adding that info to the wiki...

I probably should add it to the wiki. A lot of projects fall through on these forums, and I think that was one of them.

I've started updating some of the settlement pages on the wiki with the info for their appropriate regions, and also fixed up the Regions page so it matched with what was in-game. So far I've done Hyrule's starting settlements-really need to create some sort of template like they have for unit stats...

Which parameters would this template need to have?

For Settlements, mostly just a table initial population and religious breakdown-public order and health are constantly in flux so probably to be added. Perhaps a list for initial structures...

In terms of the regions, probably a three column table for fertility, and trade resources, and perhaps mercenaries you can recruit.

Someone made a template on the wiki- thanks if that was you, HTD

I've been trying to make a General/Hero template with Ancillaries/Retinue, Command stats, Traits, ect. but can't figure out how to create one.

I've kind of been going insane on the wiki, adding character info boxes, fixing up broken categories for factions-added faction pages for the Rebels and Wild Animals and pages on cultures and religions. I'm trying to not rile too many feathers- sure Arya Snow has their own way of categorizing things. But what's with the "Heroes" and "Villains" categories in a morally grey universe?

Not everyone is morally grey, and there are still enough characters that fit well in both categories.

Fair point, it just feels like thse categories are unnecessary when they could simply be clssified as "heroes" or "hero units." By the way, HTD, yout woudn't happen to be the same user under the Arya Snow profile on the wiki, would you? I know you have posted some insider knowledge of the mod before. If so, thanks for any help. My main priprity is mostly just cleaning up pages and adding info boxes, ect. -you guy have been on this wiki way longer and protecting it from Zelda trolls- in my view your opinion on things always gets first priority.

It seems you are confusing the three categories 'Hero Characters', 'Heroes' and 'Villains'. The category for hero units is 'Hero Characters', not 'Heroes' (which is reserved for these people).

    Well met.

I recognize that the "Hero characters" page is for general hero units, but they are labelled as "heroes" or "hero units" in-game. I suppose I'm either just a stickler for correct terminology or very, very OCD. (its the latter)
