    Default [RELEASED] Viking faction traits

    Ok, new version up now 7/3/2015:

    Norse factions get:
    Immune to seasickness
    Immune to sea attrition
    Immune to snow attrition
    Income from units destroyed
    Scourge of God: -10 Morale to enemy christian faction units in battle

    Jutes:
    Income from settlement damage

    Danes:
    Ships are better

    Geats:
    +20% campaign movement range

    Mod does not work - the bonuses won't apply in the actual campaign map. ( seasickness, etc )

    Hi Gents,

    I'm going to upload an alternative version of this mod, it's a bit more tidy and some new features.
    The traits have been changed.

    Norse:
    Immune to seasickness
    Immune to sea attrition
    Immune to snow attrition
    Income from destroyed units
    Christian factions have -10 morale when battling against Vikings, similar to the Huns "scourge of god"

    Jutes:
    Bonus for settlement damage ( Saxon )

    Danes:
    Experience for ship recruits ( +1 XP )

    Geats:
    Trade tariff bonus ( 20% )
    Campaign movement range ( +20% )

    Feedback on this?

    Any "negative" stats I could give to make it less OP? ( Already removed the +10 morale snow, +200% bonus from razing )

    Seems legit not too op but I'm not sure about the moral penalty for the Christian.

    New version up - but untested. Let me know if something doesn't work - it should be listed when you hover over the traits in a new campaign! ( Will test this later tonight and fix if broken )

    Great Idea. You shoulda add dragonships, huscarls and thrall units to all the norse factions as well.

    Mod fixed. Also added Huscarls and Dragonships for all viking factions.

    No matter what "special" traits I give, they keep getting seasick, attrition.
    If I give their units melee damage it works, but I can't see why the "faction specific" traits doesn't.

    I'll spend a day soon and see if I can get this working again soon - in the meantime - I will remove the download link.

    Funny, my Jutes atm doesn't get any snow attrition, neither high seas one, tho they do get seasickness.

    I've been trying to get this to work in my own faction traits mod. Winter attrition seems to work, you just need to set the effect_scope to faction_to_force_own or faction_to_force_own_unseen.

    Seasickness is a different story. It looks like it's actually governed not by the effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions table at all, but by the special_ability_to_invalid_usage_flags and special_ability_to_auto_deactivate_flags tables. To add a flag to those tables, you have to add an entry to special_ability_invalid_usage_flags, but I can't find a place to define that entry...

    I've tried solving this by deleting the seasickness entries in land_units_to_unit_abilities_junctions, but I don't think that worked.
