Where can I manually download the patch?
You can't. Also, illegally downloading the game is illegal.

What makes anyone thing I don't have a legal copy of the game. The computer that Attila is on doesn' t have internet. So just because I have to download the file at the library or a friends and transfer it to the the computer Attila is on I've done something wrong. I find it hard to believe that I can't patch it.
Also if that's the case I should be able to get my money back, because that's absurd. Everyone knows how much better Total War games get with patches. Bull.

It should download automatically through Steam.
I am the author of the "Weaker Towers" and "Officers Of" series of mods for Total War: Warhammer!

Bring the computer to where you can have internet. Unless this is your first TW game, there is no excuse as since ETW (which was released last decade) the only patch is downloadable through Steam as long as you have the game installed on that particular pc. The last 'manual' patch download for TW games happened in 2007.
Seriously!?!? I didn't know that. I had internet for Shogun II and Rome II. Not having internet on my desktop is something unfortunate and new. Still how do you patch if you bought a hard copy of the game? I cant be the only person that this is a problem for.
Yes I took my computer to a friends for install...I was expecting I wasnt going to have to do that for every patch. Again I can't possibly be the only person this is a problem for.
Your best bet, while inconvenient, is to login as yourself on the friend's computer (or add them to your 'family share' thing) and download the latest version of the full game there and make a Steam Backup.
You should then be able to put that backup on a stick or external HDD and copy the back up file to your computer. You can then run the back up and it'll install the updated version. I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can leave your existing installation, run the back up, and it'll just copy of the new/changed files... I haven't used the back up feature in ages. You might need to delete everything before running the back up file.
FYI, when making the back up it will default to CD sized chunks. You can adjust this limit, so you get a single file. Not sure whether multiple smaller or one larger is better for transfer.
Frustrating. But Thanks for all your help. I just took the whole computer to a friends. Should have good internet on that computer soon anyway. The trials of moving. Thanks for all the input guys.
No one should have to go through that trouble. You should be able to take a USB to a friends and grab the patch. But this is typical of Steam, controlling what we can do with our games.
Wait for when Steam stops you playing your game in a couple of weeks because it can`t detect a net connection, even though you chose `offline`. You won`t be happy then either.
I still maintain Steam is unethical.
It is very fascist.
