Default Is there a sure fire way I'd saving battle replays in M2TW?

So I just got into the Youtube community of players and I am making a playlist full of me most epic campaign battles. I wonder if you could make battle replays for campaign games that is sure fire as that little ~ key thing does not work. Any help appreciated. Also I might be doing it wrong so tell me the whole steps again.

there is a file in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\temp that is the last battle replay, it work with the cineditor. It works for some people but not for most, never worked for me. Nobody managed to find out why yet. I think all campaign battles on youtube are done using a video capture program such as frap or xfire.

Yes, screen capture of a live game is the way to go. The in-game battle recorder does not work correctly, often resulting in a different outcomes to what you might remember. It's something to do with it recording the commands issued rather than their actual effects.

I actually got the ~ thing to work but now there is a problem because I load it, then the deployment phase, and then right after that crash! Some people have it too but I did not find the fix in the thread where it says you can save campaign battle map replays. Does anyone have a fix?
