How to add a new general bodyguard unit to my faction's campaign rooster?

I am playing as Meroe, and I've modded the game myself to give myself access to some elite units from other Desert nomadic factions (after I expand over a territory of some same-culture-type nation I mod the game to let myself have access to their cool units) using the Pack File Manager. Now I want to have Numidian Noble cavalry to serve as a bodyguard unit for my generals but I have no idea which parameter should be modified to achieve this, and I could not find any parameter that might somehow give me a hint that it is the one. Could anyone help me with this one? thanks

You also have to have the unit in the corresponding military group in
units_to_military_group_permissions It's not called exactly that maybe but very similar, add an entry for your unit with Ethiopian or African it's either of those

I've done that now as well and still nothing happened.

Have you modded before? If not it's possible you made an error or used the tables the wrong way.
If you haven't no matter if you're new or not you should read this guide wich contains what you search for and more. Reading it should familiarize you with how units work.
