Lord Damon Lannister was sitting on his horse, watching fires consuming what was left of old Tully's fort and mountain of corpses on the fields around. A few men were clad in red with golden lion on their chests, most were in blue and silver, colours of house Tully but now they were all dead, food for worms and ravens that were already feasting on some. A couple of hours ago everything was much different, forces by Lord Medger Tully were defending the fort and their numbers weren't small, in fact even Damon himself wasn't sure of their victory for a couple of moments but all of sudden they were victorius and their enemy dead, along with their leader. The assault was lead by lord Marbrand who broke the gates of the fort while Lord Damon's forces were in the background, serving mostly as supporters.
The battle may last longer should Medger wouldn't fall so soon under arrows while he was leading a cavarly to repell the attackers but soon after he was dead, his men lost morale and were slaughtered in chaos and panic.
"Lord Damon" a squire silently approached him. "A raven has just arrived. It is for you my liege." Damon took the letter and start reading it. "It seems Lord Plumm was also successful, Pinkmaiden has fallen. Summon the lords, I need to speak with them." A squire nodded and as he left, Lord Damon's eyes slowly turned towards northwest, towards Riverrun. "This is almost too easy" he muttered to himself.
