On one hot afternoon, a messenger rode hastily towards the palace of Sunspear making his way through many tight lanes and alleys. At the front entrance, he jumped off his horse and walked briskly through the gate and onto the courtyard, not taking any more notice of his horse and the palace servants that leaded it away. He had important news for the Prince that could not wait…war was brewing…

“My Lord, I bring a message from King Daeron II,” he said after entering the council chamber, where the Prince and the lords of his household were gathered, “and it is of the utmost importance.”

The messenger recounted everything that happened in Kings Landing and repeated the words of the king. Many lords that were gathered in the room listened to the news with amazement; some shook their heads with unrest, while others lifted their voices with gladness and excitement. Prince Maron Martell, however, listened intently to the news not revealing any response. When the messenger finished his tale, everyone became silent and all eyes were turned to the Prince.

No one could guess what was going through his mind, but in fact Prince Maron was weighing all his options, and thinking first of all of the safety of the people of Dorne. At the same time, he had great and majestic visions for the future of Dorne; new lands, riches beyond human imagination, high titles and renown throughout the lands of Westeros.

“My brother,” Ulrick Martell broke his thought, “there has been other news; Lannister’s and Tully’s have picked sides, and they are fighting on behalf of Daemon Blackfyre. Traitors!”
The Prince, looking down with glazed eyes, slowly began, “So…that bastard, Daemon Blackfyre, wishes to take the crown for himself?” He paused again, and everyone in the room waited for him to continue. All eyes were fixed on the Prince. Looking up sternly, he spoke loud and clear:

“Let it be known to all the inhabitants of Westeros that if there is something House Martell is known for, it is our loyalty and true-heartedness! We will honor our sacred alliance with the king sealed by the marriages of our two houses. Let this message be sent to Kings Landing and all the lands, and households supporting House Martell, from the hot sands of Sunspear in the east, to the mountainous regions of Skyreach and Kingsgrave in the north, and to the westernmost regions of Starfall, that I, Prince Maron Martell of Sunspear, ruler of Dorne in the name of the king, declare my faithful and unwavering allegiance to the only true king – Daeron II, "the Good", Targaryen, king of the Andals, Firstmen and Roynar, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm. I vow to support the king of the Iron Throne with all my military might and woe be to those that try to oppose us!”

“FOR DORNE AND HOUSE MARTELL!!!” most of the lords cried out with joy. There were a few, however, not so glad about the news…

"We should prepare the siege lines." Two knights began talking between themselves.

Alex Tyrell rode up beside them. "There wont be a siege."

"M'lord?" One knight asked.

"I'd love a fight." Axell sighed, "We'd all love a fight, but i doubt we'll have one."

Axell Tyrell took Old Oak without bloodshed while Sun House was reclaimed in the same manner. As per the agreement with Daemon Blackfyre the Reach has reclaimed it's lands without loss of life and those who took up the banner of Blackfyre have been allowed to leave the Reach with the knowledge that, should their cause fail, they will never return home nor see their families again. House Tyrell will not shed the blood of it's own people if they can avoid it.

King Daemon watched the messenger eagerly and made a simple nod towards Gareth the Grey.
Gareth quickly left the Hall and returned clenching a small man by his neck wearing the Sigil of House Darry across his chest.

King Daemon said only four words 'I want the Truth'

'Mh...Lord?'

The weak man wearing the sigil of House Darry began to talk ' I was send by Lord Darry himself to ride to Kings Landing to tell Ser Bryden Rivers that the scheme to pretend of the River Lords loyalty had worked until of course you caught me'.

King Daemon smiled slyly towards the Messenger
'Return to Lord Medger I shall have War!.'


Tristifer Tully was caught attempting to head towards the Crownlands to join himself with the False Kings Banner men.
He was swiftly dealt with.
